Scott Dotson is in his 15th year at the University of New Mexico. He was named Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities in July of 2000. Prior to becoming the director, Dotson served two years as the assistant director under Tim Lampe.

Dotson began his affiliation with UNM as an assistant wrestling coach in the fall of 1994. For three years, he coached alongside his father, Bill Dotson. The younger Dotson was a four-year letterwinner in wrestling at UNM.

Dotson, 38, a native of Cedar Falls, Iowa, graduated from UNM in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Communications. He completed his master's degree in Sports Administration from UNM in 1996.
