Annual Fund gifts make an immediate impact for student-athletes. You can make an impact today by giving to the Seahawk Club.  The Seahawk Club appeals to alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends to provide scholarship support for the more than 300 student-athletes that represent the university, helping them become successful both on the fields of play and in the classroom.

How Can I Help?

• Join the Seahawk Club at the highest level possible or consider increasing your current membership level by giving an extra 10 percent.
• Endowed Scholarship Fund: Allow a permanent investment towards the future of UNCW Athletics. A portion of the endowment's earned interest provides a scholarship for a deserving student-athlete. The remaining income is reinvested, allowing the endowment to grow and fund scholarships in perpetuity. The financial commitment to endow a scholarship is a $25,000 gift and can be made over five years. A donor can name the scholarship or contribute to an existing endowed scholarship.
• Matching Gifts: Many companies sponsor matching gifts programs to encourage employees to give to charitable organizations. Most companies match dollar for dollar, and some will double the gift amount. For more information on matching gifts, please contact your human resources officer.
• Securities: Many donors make gifts in the form of appreciated securities in order to benefit from tax advantages. You can receive an income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities, as well as reduce - or eliminate - capital gains taxes on the transfer.
• Planned/Deferred Gifts: Estate planning fits can be made through will provisions, life insurance or other bequests.
• Memorial Gifts: may be created to honor the memory of a friend or loved one. The gift will be acknowledged to the family, and the donor will receive the benefits and tax deduction.
• Spread the word: Let your family and friends know about the Seahawk Club and encourage them to join.
• Faculty and Staff Campaign: Designed to give employees the chance to support Seahawk Athletics and make a difference.
