On the final day of the NCAA Regional, the Gaels were the first to tee off at 7:30 a.m. Saint Mary's earned the second-lowest team score of the day and climb the leaderboards to tied-6th place, but ultimately fall just short of qualifying for the National Championship tournament.
After the 2nd Round of the NCAA Regionals, the Gaels are in 8th place and within striking distance of the qualifying position. Pavan Sagoo is at 3-under and has a shot to earn an individual berth in the National Championships.
In Round 1 of the NCAA Regionals at Purdue, the Gaels are just outside of the qualifying position. The Gaels shot 6-over and are in 8th place. Pavan Sagoo led the way and Hunter Rappleye had a special day off-the-course.
Saint Mary's Golf plays its practice round at the competition course, Kampen Golf Course on the campus of Purdue University. A long, difficult course, the Gaels are not unfamiliar with it. The team played at this course during the 2008 National Championship.
Saint Mary's Golf is in the Hoosier State ahead of their NCAA Regional rounds next week. Saturday, the Gaels play a round at the Woodland Country Club. This is the third straight year that the Gaels are in the NCAA Regional.
Saint Mary's student-athletes host the EHoops Clinic, an inclusive basketball program that trains and develops both typical and special needs kids. The final session at McKeon Pavilion is on Saturday, May 21 at 2pm.
