DURHAM, N.C.-Duke begins the 2013 campaign in nine days riding a nine-game home win streak dating back to the season-opening win over Rutgers last season. The Blue Devils last lost at home to Maryland in the 2011 ACC Tournament Championship game.
The Blue Devils have enjoyed playing at home under head coach John Danowski, sporting a 59-6 record at Koskinen Stadium. Duke is 20-1 in the previous two seasons and has never lost more than two home games in a season since 2007.
In regular season games, Duke is 17-0 in the previous two seasons and 50-5 in the past six campaigns. Overall, the Blue Devils have outscored their opponents 785-429 in home contests since 2007. In addition, Duke is 6-1 in one-goal games in the past six years with the lone loss coming to No. 1 Cornell in 2007.
Duke will put its nine-game home win streak on the line 11 times in 2013, beginning with preseason No. 9 Denver Feb. 9 at 12 p.m. The Blue Devils will play five of the preseason top nine teams at home this season, including No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3.
