In the sixth installment of the Blue Devil Vault, former Blue Devil standout Mark alarie sat down with the Blue Devil Network to talk
about his recruitment and Coach K's leadership. Alarie, was a member of Coach K's famed 1982 recruiting class that also included Jay Bilas, Johnny Dawkins and David Henderson, a group that led Duke to its first ACC Championship under Krzyzewski as well as to its first NCAA Final Four.
Alarie still ranks seventh on Duke's all-time scoring list with 2,136 points and remains one of only 11 Blue Devils to top the 2,000-point mark. He also ranks fourth on the school's all-time made field goals list and played in 133 consecutive games, which ranks tied for the eighth-longest run at Duke.
The Blue Devil Vault is a weekly series of interviews with former
Duke players and others associated with the program during Duke
basketball's decorated history. Be sure the check back every Thursday
afternoon for a new episode.
