TULSA, Okla. - The
Duke men’s tennis team will send seven representatives to the 2012 ITA Men’s
All-American Championships, Sept. 29-Oct. 7 at the Michael D. Case Tennis
Center and Cascia Hall in Tulsa, Okla.
“We are looking forward to getting things going in Tulsa,”
said head coach Ramsey Smith. “All-Americans is a unique event because it has
multiple qualifying draws that give players the opportunity to work their way
into the main draw of one of the most prestigious college events of the year.
Over 350 of the top college players in the country will be there
competing for the title.”
Freshmen Daniel McCall and Josh Levine will compete in the
pre-qualifying stage of the singles draw. In the first round of action, Levine will
take on Joakim Norstrom of Saint Mary’s College of California Saturday at 10
a.m. ET. McCall will receive a bye in the first round and play TCU’s Facundo
Lugones in the second round Saturday at noon.

rankings, and junior Chris Mengel received automatic bids to the main draw,
which will be held Oct. 4-7.
Duke is looking to continue its impressive play after sweeping

teams in Tulsa. The duo of Cunha and Hemmeler, the 16th-ranked tandem in the
preseason ITA rankings, will receive an automatic bid to the main draw. The
