QUOTABLES

“Tonight’s result was a very hard-fought victory.  Not only were we battling a very committed Winthrop team, but the weather conditions were also very tough.  We created some great chances and probably deserved more than one goal but full credit to their goalkeeper coming up with some great saves.  Second half was a very tough battle but we managed the pressure well and found a way to win the match.  It was a great crowd and great environment tonight.  We have a short turn around playing the first place team, Presbyterian, on Wednesday, so we have a great challenge in front of us.  Overall we are very pleased with the result tonight and we will get back to work tomorrow.”—Head Coach Matt Mennell
