KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- UMKC Head Women’s Golf Coach Brianna Broderick will be inducted into the Richmond (Mo.) High School Hall of Fame on June 8th. This marks coach Broderick’s second induction into her high school's hall of fame.

Coach Broderick was first inducted into the Hall of Fame’s inaugural class of 2014. She was a selected inductee for this distinguished honor because of her individual accomplishments of winning the Missouri State High School Athletic Association’s (MSHSAA) 1A-2A State Championship during three-consecutive years (2000, 2001, 2002). This year, coach Broderick and four of her teammates will be inducted for their team’s contribution of winning a MSHSAA 1A-2A State Championship in 2001.

“Back in 2014, when I received the call that I was being inducted into the Hall of Fame’s inaugural class, I was speechless yet extremely grateful for the honor," said Broderick. "When that call came again earlier this year to inform me that the team would be inducted, I was absolutely thrilled. I was excited about the fact that I would get to celebrate this honor once again with the ladies who all played a major part in our team’s success.”

Founded in 2014, the the Richmond HS Hall of Fame is one of the most cherished traditions for the Athletics Department. Inductees are a distinguished circle of individuals or teams who have made a distinct and lasting contribution to Richmond in the field of athletics.

“This magnitude of honor will forever be cherished and I thank all those who’ve had a hand in all of my successes during my years at RHS," continued Broderick. "My gratitude and respect for the Hall of Fame Committee, my family, friends, and all the individuals who have impacted my life growing up can never be totally conveyed.”

Broderick completed her 10th year of head coaching duties at UMKC this past spring. For more information on Brianna, click here.
