The University of Idaho women’s golf team rounded out its 2016 class with the addition of Danielle Kinder from Lemoore, Calif.

“We are elated that Danielle has chosen Idaho over many other opportunities,” said coach Lisa Johnson, who brings in the first California to Idaho in more than a decade.

Kinder is a 2016 graduate of Lemoore High School, where she represented the Tigers well earning Girls Golf West Yosemite League individual champion in 2015 as well as helping her team to the Girls Golf West Yosemite League and Section team titles last fall.

Away from the course Kinder excelled in the classroom. She has been a California Scholarship Federation Member from 2012-15. She earned the Culinary Arts Club “Prestigious Chef” Felix Award in 2015 and has been chosen student of the month of multiple occasions. She also was her golf team’s captain.

“Danielle's game continues to develop at a rapid pace, and she is determined to compete for championships,” Johnson said. “She will immediately elevate our program with her fundamentally sound game and excellence in the classroom.”
