Dover, Del. (Nov. 21) --- Each of Delaware State’s eligible volleyball student-athletes have been recognized by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for their work in the classroom.

DSU’s Sydney Armbrister (gr.), Mayah Ngundam (jr.) and Nia Scott (so.) are among 83 MEAC volleyball players named to the league’s 2019 All-Academic Team.

MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year, are eligible for all-academic accolades.

Delaware State’s 11 freshman and one 2019 transfer will be eligible for the MEAC academic recognition next year.

“I am pleased to congratulate our women’s volleyball student-athletes for maintaining a 3.0 or better grade point average,” said MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. “I would also like to thank all the people who assisted with the academic and athletic success of these student-athletes.”
