Greensboro, NC. (May 4) --- The Hornets finished the final day of the MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. DSU finished in 11th place with a score of 21 points.

Kavante Dawson finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.56 seconds. His performance gave DSU three additional points to their total score. Also, his time qualified him for the IC4A/ECAC Championships.

Julian Brown finished in sixth place as well (another three points for the Hornets); his event was the 400-meter hurdles though. He clocked in at 54.12 seconds.

Forrest Booker 13.86 meters in the triple jump gave him a seventh-place finish and gave the team two more points for their total score.

The 4 x 400 relay team (Julian Brown, Donte Rolley-Williams, Kendall Leach & Gerald Amobi) placed fifth in the event with a time of 3-minutes-13.39 seconds (3:13.39).

A fifth-place finish gave DSU four points for its total score.

Delaware State scored 11 of their 21 points on the final day of the competition.

Four Hornets qualified for the IC4A/ECAC Championships (Robert Duncan, Julius Allen, Kavante Dawson & Tre Johnson) the championships start on May 10th at Princeton, NJ.
