Dover, Del. (Dec. 10, 2019) --- Delaware State senior guard John Crosby has been honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for his performance in the Hornets’ contest against Loyola (Md.) last week.

Crosby was named MEAC Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week after pouring in 31 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field, including one three-pointer in two attempts and eight-for-10 shooting at the free throw line, in DSU’s 84-76 loss to the Greyhounds on Dec. 4.

For the season, the Baltimore, Md., native leads all MEAC players in scoring at 20.1 points per game. Bethune-Cookman’s Charles Williams is second in the league at 18.2 per outing.

Crosby has topped the 20-point mark in five of the Hornets’ 10 games, including two 30-point performances, and has led the team in scoring in seven contests.

Crosby and his teammates return to action on Dec. 16 against First State rival Delaware. The contest is set for 7:00 p.m. at 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington.
