GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro volleyball team’s six-member recruiting class received High Honorable Mention accolades from PrepVolleyball.com.

The Spartans’ incoming 2019 class consists of outside hitters Camille Anderson, Hannah Knier and Brittany Wood, middle blockers Grey Breen, Elayne Grisbee and setter Gabby McHugh.

UNCG is one of two Southern Conference programs to receive the High Honorable Mention from PrepVolleyball.com and is one of 52 recruiting classes that are just outside the nation's top-30 ranked classes. The rankings are based off a panel of college coaches from across the country, who are asked to judge each class using both size and strength of class and impact on that program as guides. Coaches were also requested to assess based on the cumulative impact the class could make in four or five years at the school, not on the group's potential immediate impact during the upcoming season.

"We're very excited about our 2019 recruiting class, which we feel will help elevate our program on the national level,” said UNCG head coach Corey Carlin. “Aside from being a great group of young ladies, we feel this group will significantly impact our program in several ways. First, they are all very talented players that are also high character people. Second, bringing in this large of a class will increase the quality of our competitive depth while also providing an even more competitive gym atmosphere. Finally, all of these players have played on teams that have competed at the top level in club volleyball so they each have a good understanding of what it takes to compete and win at the highest level."
