GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro women’s soccer kicks off its 2019 regular season with RV/RV Arkansas Thursday at 7 p.m.

All-Time Series Vs. Arkansas

- Owns a 1-2-0 record against the Razorbacks.

- UNCG has played twice against Arkansas in Greensboro and won the last matchup 3-1 on Oct. 9, 1991.

Scouting UNCG

- Picked as the favorite to win the 2019 Southern Conference Championship after claiming the top spot in the preseason coaches’ poll and return all but two starters and two other letterwinners from last year’s team that went 15-5-1, 7-2-0 and won a second-straight SoCon Tournament Championship.

- Cienna Rideout, the reigning SoCon Player of the Year, Aiyanah Tyler-Cooper and Marissa Ferrantino were selected to the All-SoCon Preseason team.

- With 24 career goals and 60 points, Rideout needs just two more goals and six points to crack the top-10 in each all-time category in program history.

- With seven more saves, Tyler-Cooper will become the seventh Spartan to record 200 career saves.

- Led the SoCon in goals (2.38) and assists (2.29) per game and was second in shutouts (eight) and third in goals against average (0.99) last year.

Scouting Arkansas

- Picked sixth in the SEC Preseason Coaches' Poll and tied for the 29th-most votes (45 points) in the United Soccer Coaches’ Preseason Poll.

- Coming off just the third 14-plus win season and fifth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and third-straight SEC Tournament Final appearance.

- Senior forward Tori Cannata, junior midfielder Taylor Malham and senior defender Marissa Kinsey led the Razorback attack last year, accounting for 19 of the 43 goals.

- Recorded eight or more shutouts in each of the last two seasons, including outshooting their opponents in 2018 by a 391-237 margin.

- Junior defender Haley VanFossen was named to the preseason Hermann Trophy Watch List. Joining her on the SEC Preseason Watch List were Cannata, senior midfielder/forward Stefani Doyle, Parker Goins, sophomore defender Bryana Hunter and Malham.
