* The Old Dominion women's basketball team won its 28th consecutive home game to tie Hartford for the nation's longest active home win streak. The streak began back on Dec. 30, 2006 with a 72-55 victory over national runner-up Rutgers. ODU's last loss at the Ted Constant Convocation Center was against national champion Tennessee, 59-75, back on Dec. 22, 2006.

* The Lady Monarchs scored 56 points in the paint, two more points than the entire Norfolk State team combined.

* Junior Jessica Canady collected a career-high 19 rebounds surpassing her previous high of 15 against Delaware on Jan. 27, 2008.

* Junior Jessica Canady posted her eighth career double-double and third of the year with 24 points and 19 rebounds.

* Senior Tiffany Green tied her career-high with 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-7 shooting from the line. Green also posted 21 points against UNC-Wilmington back on Jan. 9, 2008.

* With her 21 points, senior Tiffany Green moved up two notches on the All-Time ODU Scoring Leaders list surpassing Sharron Francis (1998-2002) and Shonda DeBerry (1992-1996) to moved into 22nd on the list. She now has 1,103 career points and needs 74 more points to move into 21st past Kim McQuarter (1985-1989).

* Sophomore Vicki Collier netted her first career points as a Lady Monarch. Collier recorded four points going 2-of-2 from the field. Collier is played in her third game this season after sitting out the 2006-07 season as a redshirt and then missing the 2007-08 season with a knee injury.

* Although freshman JoNiquia Guilford did not have a great afternoon shooting, she hauled in six rebounds as the Lady Monarchs' third leading rebounder.

* The Lady Monarchs held the Norfolk State roster to just one double figure scoring. It was the first time this season only one member of the opposition was held to double figures. Whitney Long came off the Spartan bench to net 19.

* Junior Jessica Canady put away lay-up with 2:35 remaining to give the Lady Monarchs it largest lead of the game, a 47-point 93-45 advantage. It was Old Dominion's largest lead of the season.

* Although the Lady Monarchs shot only 54 percent from the free throw line (27-of-50), sophomore Jasmine Parker went a perfect 5-of-5.
