Alex Loughton Named To The All-Decade Team

Alex Loughton (ODU'06) has been selected to Mid Major All-Decade team.

Loughton, who is also a member of the CAA 25th Silver Anniversary Men's basketball Team was the 2005 CAA Player of the Year and CAA Tournament MVP.

Loughton completed his Monarch career as the school's 10th all-time scorer with 1,646 career points and 952 career rebounds which rank him sixth on ODU's all-time list.

The 6-9 Perth, Australia native also got it done in the classroom as he was a third team ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2006 and a two-time Athletic Director's Association Scholar All-American. Alex is currently playing pro ball in his native Australia.

Mid-Major All-Decade Team

Rather than assembling first, second, third and fourth team squads, the Mid-Major All-Decade team is one team consisting of 25 players. Division I coaches and NBA scouts are part of the selection process, but final decision rests with the staff.
