#52 Lady Monarchs Stop Stetson, 6-1

DELAND, Fla. -- The #52 Old Dominion women's tennis team collected a 6-1 victory over Stetson Wednesday afternoon at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center. With the win, the Lady Monarchs have strung together an eight-game win streak and are currently 9-1 overall (1-1 CAA).

Old Dominion's lone loss of the afternoon came at #6 singles. The Lady Monarchs claimed the doubles point with a clean three-match sweep to start the match and then went on to win the first five singles matches behind fourth-ranked freshman sensation Nataly Cahana (Qiriat Bialik, Israel) and sophomore Mily Kannarkat (Virginia Beach, Va.), who both improved to 10-0 in spring singles play.

The Lady Monarchs will take on South Florida Thursday afternoon.
