Jacobs Named CAA Player Of The Week

NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion's Caroline Jacobs (Gaitherburg, Md.) was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week it was announced on Tuesday by the league office.

Jacobs, a junior midfielder led Old Dominion to a 3-0 week, including a 2-0 mark in the CAA, with eight goals, three assists, and 11 points along with 11 groundballs and seven caused turnovers. She collected five points from three goals and two assists as Old Dominion defeated 2005 defending CAA champion Towson last Friday, 13-12. She followed with three goals and six groundballs in Old Dominion's second CAA victory of the year, a 10-8 win over Delaware. She also added two goals and an assist in a 12-11 win over Rutgers.

The Lady Monarch women's lacrosse team returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Charlottesville to take on the fifth-ranked Virginia Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m.
