NORFOLK, VA (Jan. 29) - Old Dominion's men's swimming and diving team swept through William and Mary and American in a tri-meet to finish the 1999-2000 CAA season at 6-0. The Monarchs (9-2, 6-0) defeated William and Mary, 148-92, and American, 135-101.

Senior diver Kevin Harrison (Bethpage, NY) earned a berth in the NCAA Deep Zones for the third year in a row when he qualified with a score of 303.25 in the men's one meter board competition. Harrison, the defending CAA Champion in the one and three meter dives, also won the men's three meter dive with a score of 299.30.

Meanwhile, the Monarch swimmers turned in another gutsy performance en route to the team's second undefeated conference season in three years. Senior Jimmy Sullivan (West Palm Beach, FL) won both the 1000 (9:28.185) and 500 free (4:37.361) while senior John Sax (Memphis, TN) captured first-place honors in the men's 100 free (46.911).

The Monarchs conclude the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 5, as they host UMBC in the Scrap Chandler Pool at 12 pm.
