GILBERT, Ariz. – University at Albany senior Dana Bozek has been named Second Team All-America, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced this week.  It is Bozek’s first All-America honor.

Bozek, a midfielder from Cortlandt, N.Y., started all 19 games for UAlbany this season, leading the Great Danes with 14 goals and 34 points, while ranking third on the team with six assists.  Within the America East, Bozek ranked third in both goals and points.  Bozek was named 2019 America East Midfielder of the Year and East Division First Team, marking four-straight years she has earned All-Conference accolades.

Including this year’s selections, UAlbany has had three All-America First Team selections, nine Second Team selections, and three Third Team selections in program history.

Earlier in the week, Bozek was named NFHCA Northeast Region First Team, and was joined by three teammates, Katie MacCallum, Kelsey McCrudden, and Melissa Nealon, who were named Northeast Second Team.

The Great Danes finished the season 11-8 overall and fell to Stanford in the America East Tournament.
