College of Charleston freshmen midfielder Raymara Barreto was named Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week after notching her second multi-goal game of the season in Sunday’s 5-0 win over The Citadel. In just her third start of the season, Barreto quickly put the game out of reach against The Citadel when she put away two goals in a span of five minutes. Her first goal came in the 73rd minute on an assist from Alexa Gray while a couple minutes later Hannah Huizenga found Barreto in the same spot to make the game 4-0. The Mt. Pleasant native now has recorded two multi-goal games this season after also tallying two goals against Kennesaw State. Barreto, who has played in all nine games, leads the Cougars in goals (4) and shots on goal (12) in 2015.
