NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES: North Carolina A&T finishes a three-game road swing with a trip to Morehead, Ky., to face Morehead State (2-3) 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The Aggies are coming off a 1-1 record at the Maggie Dixon Classic to finish third at the tournament.  N.C. A&T nearly knocked off No. 16 Miami. They led by 11 with a little more than five minutes remaining before falling 68-67 thanks to a Hurricanes 3-pointer with 18 seconds remaining. The Aggies made a comeback of their own against Arkansas State as they rallied from 14 down to defeat the Red Wolves, 55-50.  

In six games this season, junior guard Deja Winters is second in the MEAC in scoring at 14.8 points per game. She ranks 11th in rebounding (5.0), while senior guard C’coriea Foy averages 10.5 points and 5.0 rebounds. Senior Cinia McCray is averaging 8.4 points.

MOREHEAD STATE:  Morehead State has won two of their last three games, but lost to No. 13 Kentucky 79-54 the last time out. The Eagles are led by Ariel Kirkwood and Tomiyah Alford with 10.8 points per game apiece and Kirkwood averages 9.2 rebounds and Alford averages 4.0 rebounds.

Rankings: The Aggies lead the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and rank 21st nationally in assists with 89. They rank second and 51st nationally in blocks with 22.

N.C. A&T leads the MEAC with 88 made free throws, which also ranks 16th in the NCAA. Their 230 rebounds are 31st in the country. The Aggies are third in the conference and 36th nationally in steals with 57 steals. They lead the MEAC with 24.50 turnovers forced. That ranks them 15th in the country.

Career Watch: Foy has 883 career points and needs 117 more points to become the 14th player in school history to record 1,000 points in a career.

Lessears has 717 career rebounds and needs 58 rebounds to move into fourth place held by Helena Creamer (1987-91).

Lessears and Hill are both in the top-10 in blocks. Lessears has 99 career blocks and needs one block to become the fifth player to record 100-plus blocks and tie for fifth place with Eileen Patterson from 1988-92.

Hill has 78 career blocks, which ranks ninth place in school history. She needs 14 blocks to move into eighth place held by Nikia Gorham (2009-13) with 91 blocks.
