ANCHORAGE – The Alaska Anchorage volleyball team has added another local talent as head coach Chris Green announced Tuesday that Reilly Plumhoff has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Seawolves.

A 5-5 libero/defensive specialist, Plumhoff was instrumental in helping Dimond High School to its fourth consecutive Class 4A title in 2018, earning All-State Tournament Team honors.

“Reilly has a tremendous love for the game and that shows through in her play. Her leadership was a big reason for Dimond’s continued success last year,” said UAA head coach Chris Green. “We think she will be a great contributor to our program.”

Plumhoff joins Dimond teammate Mia Ekstrand, a 5-10 outside hitter, and Service High’s Julia Fetko, a 5-7 setter/DS, as the third local prep recruit for UAA this year. The Seawolves will have six total Alaskans on the 2019 roster, with the freshmen joining junior setter Emma Kleven (South Anchorage), junior libero Anjoilyn Vreeland (Dimond) and sophomore right-side/middle hitter Eve Stephens (Palmer/Colony).
