ATLANTA - With 10 newcomers on the GSU women's basketball roster this season, head coach Gene Hill has placed a larger emphasis on team bonding throughout summer workouts.
"As soon as the new girls got here, we bonded pretty quickly," redshirt junior guard Jada Lewis said. "We love one another, we go everywhere together. If we can carry that onto the court, us being young won't be a huge factor because we have a lot of talent."
In June, one of the newcomers hosted the entire team for a cookout at her family's home in metro Atlanta. Lewis and freshman Taylor Henderson showed off their competitiveness over a friendly game of pool.

The team has been working out together both in the weight room and on the court over the last several weeks as the new school year approaches. On Thursday, Hill interrupted the team's pre-practice stretching to announce a game of All Around The World between the staff and the players with the winner getting a surprise reward.
