What You Need to Know: 

*Georgia State takes on ULM Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Panthers will face Louisiana at noon. 

* GSU split decisions in last weekend’s trip to the Lone Star State. The Panthers are 2-4 in conference action. 

* Meisheia Griffin continues to lead the Sun Belt in blocking with 1.12 blocks per set. 

 

ATLANTA- Georgia State volleyball is back in action this weekend at GSU Sports Arena. The Panthers will take on ULM Friday evening and Louisiana Sunday afternoon. Both matches will be broadcast live on PantherVision. 

GSU returns to Atlanta after splitting decisions in Texas. Sally Polhamus’ squad fell to Texas State 3-0 before defeating UT Arlington 3-2. Both of GSU’s Sun Belt victories have come in five-setters this season. 

Leah Wilcox is coming off a 15 kill performance last weekend. Sydney Stroud (145) and Meisheia Griffin (136) lead the offense in kills this season. At the net defensively, Griffin also leads the Sun Belt with 1.12 blocks per set. 

ULM comes to Atlanta seeking their first conference victory. Overall the Warhawks hold a 9-12 record.  The Panthers hold a 7-2 edge in the all-time series. The Warhawks took the last meeting in 2018 in Louisiana. 

On Sunday the Panthers will battle Louisiana. The Ragin’ Cajuns are 1-5 in Sun Belt action, defeating UT Arlington in four.Georgia State trails in the all-time series 6-3. The Panthers dropped their last meeting on the road against the Ragin’ Cajuns.
