Seven Tigers To Play In Young Women's National Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton field hockey team had seven members selected to compete in the 2016 Young Women’s National Championship later this month (June 28-July 2) in Lancaster, Pa.

Maddie Bacskai, Nicole Catalino, Jane Donio-Enscoe, Ryan McCarthy, Sophia Tornetta, Elise Wong and Cat Caro were the seven Tigers picked to participate in the championship event.

The Young Women's National Championship serves as a high level, international structured competition and is the selection venue for the 2016-17 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team.

Caro (second team), McCarthy (second team), Tornetta (first team) and Wong (first team) were All-Ivy League performers in 2015 while Catalino (six goals) and Donio-Enscoe (eight points) were major contributors as freshmen on a team that reached the NCAA quarterfinals last season.
