NEW YORK & PRINCETON, N.J. – The Columbia men’s basketball team will be featured on over the air networks 14 times this season, with 11 contests on SportsNet New York (SNY), as per the agreement finalized with the network and Columbia Athletics in September. In addition, all game times for the upcoming season have been announced and can be found here.
Each home game and the full Ivy League regular season slate will also be available via the Ivy League Network.
“The opportunity that arose this fall with our partnership with SNY is going to be great for our program,” head coach Jim Engles said. “We are extremely excited for our alumni and fans in New York City and across the country to be able to watch our team play this season.”
The Lions open the 2017-18 campaign at Villanova on Friday, November 10, for an 8:30 p.m. matchup on FS2.
Columbia’s first game on SNY will be the November 29 tilt at Connecticut at 7 p.m. as part of the Huskies’ deal with the station. The home non-conference package includes December 4 vs. Quinnipiac (7 p.m.), Dec. 7 vs. Stony Brook (7 p.m.), December 10 vs. Navy (2 p.m.). Eight Ivy League contests, including all seven in Levien Gymnasium and the February 9 tilt at Yale (7 p.m.) can be seen on the “home of New York sports.”
Additionally, you can catch Columbia’s non-conference games at Penn State (Nov. 17 – 7 p.m.) on BTN+ and at Boston College (Dec. 12 – 7 p.m.) on ACC Network Extra, which are both available on AppleTV, Roku and other streaming devices.
The Lions’ Ancient Eight opener against defending conference champions Princeton on January 12 will be aired on NBC Sports Philadelphia at 8 p.m. A February 10 showdown between Columbia and Brown in Providence can also be viewed on myRITV and the March 2 tilt at Dartmouth will be an ESPN3 simulcast.
