KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Tim Hiller was named Co-Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the West Division, sharing the honor with Toledo's Nick Moore.  Hiller is the first Bronco to receive the award twice this season and he is the third to be honored by the league in as many weeks.

Hiller set school records in pass attempts (63) and completions (42), throwing for 345 yards and four TDs in WMU's comeback win in overtime at Buffalo, 34-28. Trailing 21-6 heading into the fourth quarter, Hiller and co., scored 22 points to force overtime. All of Hiller's scoring strikes came in the fourth quarter and overtime. His 63 attempts also broke the Buffalo's opponent record, the UB stadium record and rank fourth in Mid-American Conference history for attempts in a game.

The Orrville, Ohio, native now has 23 touchdown passes this season, second most in WMU history in a single season, and he now has 63 for his career.  Through seven games, Hiller has 2,046 yards and is completing 68.2 percent of his passes.  He leads the MAC in total offense (297.3 ypg), passing yards per game (292.3 ypg) and touchdowns.

Hiller was also named the MAC Report Online Offensive Player of the Week, marking not only the third week in a row that a WMU player has won a conference award but also the third week in a row the MRO has agreed and honored that player as well.  Brandon West was the MAC West Special Teams POTW last week and Boston McCornell was the MAC West Defensive Player of the Week two weeks ago.

Western Michigan (6-1, 4-0 MAC) travel to Central Michigan (4-2, 3-0 MAC) for the MAC TV Game of the Week at 12 p.m., on Oct. 18.  The game can be seen in the Kalamazoo area on WZZM-TV (Channel 13 on Charter Cable).  It will also be available across the state of Michigan in Grand Rapids, Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw and Marquette.  Please check your cable/satellite provider for channel listings.
