DURHAM, N.C. – As one of the most aggressive teams in the nation in regards to rebounding, Duke men’s basketball has made a statement on the boards this season.

Currently third in overall rebounds, the Blue Devils own marks of 15.4 ORPG and 29.3 DRPG, averaging 44.7 RPG.

Assistant coach Nate James, as one who understands the importance the value of strength in the frontcourt, spoke on what he thinks makes a good rebounder.

“One of the main keys to being a really good rebounder is one, having the passion to want to do it,” James said. “So many players think it’s someone else’s responsibility to go get the ball, but for the select few who really want to go over after it, you kind of have a desire, you have a mindset of ‘every shot is a pass to me.’”
