RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – As stage I of LPGA and Symetra Tour Qualifying gets underway Aug. 22 at the Dinah Shore and Palmer Courses in Rancho Mirage, Calif., a trio of Blue Devils will be competing. Senior Ana Belac, junior Miranda Wang and 2014 graduate Alejandra Cangrejo will be among the 359 golfers looking to advance to stage II.

Qualifying will take place from Aug. 22-25 with 72 holes of stroke play. Each golfer will play 18 holes on the Dinah, Palmer and Shadow Ridge courses. A cut after 54 holes will take place and the final round will be contested on the Dinah Shore course. The low 125 players and ties will advance to the final round.

All three Blue Devils seeing action captured a NCAA Championship at Duke as Cangrejo was a member of the 2014 NCAA Champion squad that won the title in Tulsa, Okla., while Belac and Wang led Duke to its seventh NCAA crown a year ago in Fayetteville, Ark.

Wang will open action on hole 10 at 10:25 a.m. (ET) Thursday, while Cangrejo will tee off at 11:05 a.m., off No. 1 and Belac will start on hole 10 at 11:15 a.m.

Following LPGA qualifying, Belac and Wang will head back to Durham where classes open Monday, Aug. 26 and the season opener for the Blue Devils will take place Sept. 16-18 in Lake Elmo, Minn., for the ANNIKA Intercollegiate.
