DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Duke University alumna Laetitia Beck has done it again. The 2014 Blue Devil graduate secured her 2018 LPGA Tour card Sunday, after 90 holes of stroke play action at LPGA International this week.

Beck fired rounds of 75, 67, 69, 71 and 74 for a four-under-par, 356, to finish tied 13th overall at LPGA Stage III Qualifying in Daytona Beach, Fla. The qualifying was held on both the Hills and Jones Courses.

“It’s my fourth time that I had to do it,” said Beck. “Obviously, that was the goal this week to get my card back and improve my status. I wasn’t looking forward to having an in-between status, so I’m pretty happy that I got a full card now. Now I know for sure what my schedule is going to look like, and I’m excited to work towards improving my game for next year.”

After finishing the 2017 LPGA season No. 121 on the official money List, Beck improved her status for the 2018 season from Category 16 to Category 12 on the priority list. It marked the fourth straight year Beck has finished in the top 20 of Stage III Qualifying.

Duke 2017 graduate Sandy Choi also competed but didn’t earn her tour card. She will open the 2018 season on the Symetra Tour.

Nasa Hataoka of Japan won medalist honors with a 12-under-par, 348.
