DURHAM, N.C.—Seven members of the Duke women’s lacrosse team were selected to the 2019 IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll as announced by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association Wednesday. The seven honorees are tied with Notre Dame for the most in the ACC.

Notre Dame and Duke both had seven players recognized, while no other team in the league had more than four recipients of the award. Duke led the way last season with eight.

Recent Duke University graduates Chloë Lewis , Jamie Lockwood, Ellie Majure, Michelle Staggers and Charlotte Tucci were among the 501 student-athletes from 99 different institutions to be recognized on the honor roll. Joining them with first-time accolades were juniors Callie Humphrey and Lindsey Reynolds. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Lewis, Lockwood, Majure, Staggers and Tucci garnered the recognition for the second straight season. Majure, Staggers and Tucci recently earned their first All-ACC Academic Team honors in 2019.

In addition to the seven individual honors, head coach Kerstin Kimel’s squad was tabbed a Division I Academic Honor Squad. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women’s lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
