Southern Falls Short at Rutgers 78-58

Piscataway, N.J. –  Senior Brittany Rose finished the night with 16 points for the Jaguars but that wasn't enough as Southern drops one on the road, as Rutgers defeated SU 78-58 at the Rutgers Athletic Center on Thursday night.

Raven White contributed eleven points and had a team-high four rebounds in 23 minutes of play. Jaden Towner shot 50 percent from behind the arc finishing with nine points off the bench for the Jaguars.  

SU went into the locker room trailing, 40-29.  SU shot 44 percent for the game (22-for-49) and 53 percent from three-point range (8-15). The Jaguars shot 67 percent from free throw line (6-9). Southern turned over Rutgers sixteen times picking up twelve points.
