Lankford enjoyed three multi-RBI games on the year... made his first career start on February 17 against Illinois-Chicago... got his first career hit and two RBI in a 7-0 victory over Illinois-Chicago (2/19)... went 1-for-3 with two RBI in win vs. Stephen F. Austin (2/21)... hit 2-for-4 with one run and two RBI against Texas State (5/15)... Played for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League... batted .320 with 29 runs, nine doubles, three home runs, 22 RBI and four stolen bases in 47 games... registered five RBI in a game to earn Northwoods League Player of the Night honors on July 22.

AT LAMAR HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner at Houston’s Lamar High School for Mike McGilvray... earned all-state honors each of his final two seasons and All-District 20-5A honors each season... as a junior (2010) batted a staggering .541 as a catcher and infielder while posting 10 home runs and 68 RBI... All-Greater Houston selection as well as being voted a first team catcher by the THSBCA and the Houston 5A Hitter of the Year... a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes... played summer ball with the Columbia Angels.

PERSONAL: Cole Parker Lankford was born Sept. 2, 1992, to parents Gary and Sandy Lankford... father was a pole vaulter at the University of Houston... majoring in biomedical science... enjoys hunting, fishing and playing guitar in his spare time.
