Blossomed into one of the country's most dependable starting pitchers as a junior, leading the country in wins with 14 and garnering All-America honors ... selected as an All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings (First Team), Collegiate Baseball (Third Team) and College Baseball Insider (Honorable Mention) ... a standout in the classroom, selected as a third team Capital One Academic All-American and a first team Academic All-Big 12 selection ... also garnered first team All-Big 12 and ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region Team accolades ... selected as Big 12 Pitcher of the Week three times ... finished the season with a sterling 14-2 record along with a 2.29 ERA ... the 14 victories not only led the country but finished as the third highest single season win total in A&M baseball history ... began the season as the Aggies' closer, racking up four saves before moving into the weekend rotation ... struck out 113 batters while yielding just 18 walks and holding opponents to a .202 average in 125.2 innings of work ... notched four complete games including one complete game shutout ... notched his first career save in the season-opening win over Le Moyne (Feb. 18), striking out two in an inning of work ... transitioned to the starting rotation in early March, making his first start of the year against Centenary (March 8) ... struck out seven in five innings of work to pick up the win against the Gents ... picked up the win against No. 13 Cal State Fullerton (March 15) with a strong seven-inning outing ... struck out a season-best nine batters in a winning effort at Texas Tech (April 10) ... clinched the Aggies' series victory over Baylor (April 17) with a complete-game victory in the series finale during which he allowed just one run on four hits while striking out eight ... threw seven solid innings on May 1 at Missouri to earn a rain-shorted, complete-game victory ... on the final day of the regular season (May 21) helped the Aggies clinch a share of the Big 12 regular season title by tossing a complete-game, four-hit shutout at Texas ... threw his fourth complete game of the season against Seton Hall (June 4) during the NCAA College Station Regional, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team for his efforts ... picked up the win in the opening game of the NCAA Tallahassee Super Regional (June 11) with a solid seven-inning outing against No. 6 Florida State ... selected in the 9th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Colorado Rockies, but opted to return to Aggieland for his senior year.

Worked in the weekend rotation all season ... started all but one "Saturday" game, finishing with a team-high 17 starts on the year ... compiled a 6-5 record with a 4.50 ERA in 88 innings ... walked only 29 while striking out 89 batters ... held opposing hitters to a .279 average ... picked up the victory in his first career start, coming against Seton Hall (Feb. 20) ... went five-plus innings and allowed seven hits, three runs, one walk and three strikeouts in a 13-6 win ... earned the win at Baylor (Feb. 27) by allowing one earned run over five innings ... punched out career-high nine batters in strong win over Winthrop (March 6) ... gave up six hits, one earned run and no walks over 6.2 innings against the Eagles ... did not factor in decision in first career Big 12 start vs. Texas Tech (March 20), lasting 2.2 innings ... back-to-back solid starts vs. Missouri (March 27 - 4.2 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 6 K) and at Kansas (April 2 - 4.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R) ... suffered the loss to No. 3 Texas (April 18) ... went seven innings and punched out 10 in the game, allowing four earned runs and six hits ... pitched well but got no decision vs No. 17 OU (April 24) ... gave up seven hits, three runs and three walks over 6.1 innings while striking out a career-high 11 hitters ... back-to-back victories over Nebraska (May 1) and Dallas Baptist (May 7) ... during the final weekend of the regular season, earned the win over No. 23 K-State (May 22) ... held the league's best hitting team to one run over seven innings, punching out eight ... tossed a career-high 7.1 innings but got a no-decision at Oklahoma State (May 15), allowing eight hits and three runs ... started the Big 12 Championship game in Oklahoma City (May 30), holding Baylor to two runs and six hits over six innings while fanning eight ... earned first team Academic All-Big 12 recognition.

Emerged as a solid bullpen presence for the Aggies as a true freshman ... appeared in 13 games, all in relief, posting a 1-0 record and 2.51 ERA ... 13 relief outings ranked sixth on the staff .. tossed two shutout innings at No. 13 Oklahoma (May 16) ... allowed first earned run in his seventh appearance (March 18 vs. New Mexico) ... struck out the first six batters he faced ... punched out 18 in just over 14 innings of work while walking just four ... earned first career win in relief against Utah (March 8) ... played summer ball with the San Luis Obispo (Calif.) Blues of the wood-bat Sierra Baseball League ... went 2-2 with a 1.96 ERA in 36.2 innings of work ... fanned 56 batters and walked just 12.

Played for coach Larry Hughes at Carroll High School (Southlake, Texas) ... earned first-team all-state honors as a senior (2008) in leading the Dragons to a state runner-up finish ... played just one season of varsity baseball and did not pitch until his senior year, after a broken leg prior to the season rendered him unable to play in the infield ... went 14-0 on the hill with a sparkling 1.60 ERA ... in 107 innings of work struck out 156 batters to lead the Dallas/Fort Worth area ... compiled a 6-0 record and a 1.20 ERA in the playoffs ... a member of the North Texas all-star team ... also earned a letter in basketball as a forward and in football as a wide receiver, where the Dragons won the Texas 5A state title and the national championship ... played summer baseball for the Arlington A's ... a success in the classroom as well, graduated 11th in his class of over 600 with summa cum laude distinction, and earned a prestigious President's Endowed Scholarship to A&M.

Thomas Ross Stripling is the son of Hayes and Tammy Stripling of Southlake ... born Nov. 23, 1989, in Blue Bell, Penn. ... majoring in business finance ... has an older brother, Hayes (A&M Class of '09) ... father and uncle attended A&M, as did his grandfather, who was an Aggie yell leader ... enjoys movies, traveling, playing any sport, and hanging out at his family's lakehouse in his spare time ... career goal is to earn a master's degree from Texas A&M.
