Ingrid Villar-Woods has worked as the Associate Athletic Director for Academic Services for the Texas A&M Athletic Department since 2008.
Villar-Woods oversees the operations for the Alice & Erle Nye Academic Center and supervises the athletic academic services staff at Texas A&M.
A 1995 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders, Villar-Woods received a master's degree in student affairs from her alma mater in 1998. She is currently a doctoral candidate in higher education and administration from the University of Louisville.
While in graduate school at WKU, Villar-Woods served as a residence hall director for four years. In 1999, she was named the assistant director of academic advising and retention center, where she worked with at-risk students on campus as well as student-athletes. She also advised undeclared students and supervised the academic advising staff.
Prior to her current position in intercollegiate athletics, Villar-Woods served as the manager for Texas A&M's Recruitment Center for Human Resources. In 2007, she was appointed as the assistant director for academic services and later promoted to her current position as associate director in 2008. She was honored in 2011 with the Dean's Roundtable Outstanding Educator award.
Villar-Woods and her husband, C.J., reside in College Station. The couple has two kids, Peyton and Gabrielle.
