Sarah-Ann Blount, who will be a sophomore on the Wright State track team next season, competed at the USATF Junior Olympic Ohio State Championships over the weekend at Cedarville University.
Blount (Dayton, OH/Thurgood Marshall) qualified for the regional meet in all four events she competed in, placing second in the 100 meter hurdles (15.53), third in the long jump (5.28m), fourth in the javelin (23.21m) and fourth in the triple jump (10.02m).
"Sarah-Ann had a great weekend competing against the best under 19-year-old athletes in Ohio," said WSU head coach Fabien Corbillon. "She broke two of her personal bests with only two weeks of practice. She will have a great chance to qualify for the national meet in two weeks."
