UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond has announced home football game times for the upcoming 2012 season. The five-game home schedule at Robins Stadium includes two 6 p.m. starts and three 3:30 p.m. kickoffs.
The Spiders open their third season at Robins Stadium on September 8 against Gardner-Webb under the lights at 6 p.m. The game between Richmond and GWU will mark the first ever meeting between the two programs.
Following a pair of road games at VMI and Georgia State, the Spiders will return to Robins Stadium on September 29 to host Old Dominion at 3:30 p.m. on Family Weekend.
Richmond will then hit the road for a pair of CAA Football conference matchups at Villanova and New Hampshire.
On October 20, in-state and conference rival James Madison will come to Richmond for a 3:30 p.m. start. Homecoming Weekend is slated for November 3 against Rhode Island, with the contest scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff at Robins Stadium.
Richmond will close out the home portion of its 2012 schedule on November 10, when the Spiders play host to the Delaware Blue Hens at 3:30 p.m.
Spider fans will also enjoy great family fun at Robins Stadium this fall. Spider Vision and the Family Fun Zone will return with several new elements as well as old favorites to entertain the crowd. Scheduled giveaways include Spider coolers, rally towels, thundersticks and much more. Great half-time entertainment includes area marching bands throughout the fall.
