Women's Track Opens Outdoor Season In Arkansas
What's Ahead: The Drake women's track and field squad begins its outdoor season on Saturday, March 31 at the Arkansas Spring Invitational. Start time for the meet in Fayetteville, Ark., is 1:30 p.m.

Last Time Out: Junior Marissa Smith (Ajax, Ontario) ran a personal best of 8.42 in the 60-meter hurdles to lead the Drake track and field squad at the Iowa State Qualifier on Saturday, March 3.
Smith, who last week won the Missouri Valley Conference title in the event, finished second in the event.
Freshman Melissa Parks (Norfolk, Neb.) ran a personal best in the mile (5:07.29) to claim third-place.
A Year Ago: Marissa Smith set a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles at the Spring Razorback Invitational.
Smith's time of 14.35 broke her old personal best by two-hundredths of a second. Sarah Yeager was clocked in 15.02 to place 12th.
Tyse Samani tied for fourth in the high jump leaping 5 feet 3 inches.
Ari Curtis and Kara McCartney (were 11th and 12th respectively in the 800-meters. Curtis was clocked in 2:15.90 while McCartney crossed the finish line in 2:16.14. Kirsten Lake (Parker, Colo.) was 14th in 2:18.41.
In the 100-meter dash, Cambria Pardner placed 12th in 12.22.
