What's Ahead: The Drake women's track and field team will divide and conquer this weekend as two meets are on the plates of the Bulldogs.  Some will stay on the campus of Drake University to compete in the 103rd running of the Drake Relays April 25-28, while others will travel to Indianola, Iowa to take part in the Kip Janvrin Invitational on April 26 and 27.

Following The Meet: Live results of the 103rd running of the Drake Relays can be found here.  Updates on Twitter will be provided by the DUBulldogs account and a live blog about all of the events will be available on GoDrakeBulldogs.com. The Kip Janvrin Open can be followed by using the Simpson College website.

Last Time Out: Drake had a successful evening at the Musco Twilight on Saturday, April 21.

Junior Marissa Smith (Ajax Ontario) claimed second in the 100-meter hurdles finishing in 14.15.

Sophomore Whitney Westrum (Waukee, Iowa) claimed fourth in the 200-meter dash in 24.76 and also fourth in the 400-meter dash in 56.76.

Freshman Melissa Parks (Norfolk, Neb.) won the 1500-meter race in 4:40.72, after one heat of the event was not recorded due to technical difficulties at the Francis X. Cretzmeyer Track. In the heat that was not recorded, junior Kirsten Lake (Parker, Colo.) won the heat with a personal best and would have captured the event crown.

The Bulldogs 4x100-meter relay squad of sophomore Tiara Winston (Denton, Texas) senior Ari Curtis (Fort Collins, Colo.), Smith and Westrum won the event clocking in at 46.75.

Curtis snared seventh place in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.55, while junior Briana Isom-Brummer (St. Louis, Mo.) was ninth in 1:03.89.
