Women’s Track Team To Take Part In Duo Of In-State Meets
What's Ahead: The Drake women's track and field team will divide and conquer this weekend as two meets are on the plates of the Bulldogs. Some will stay on the campus of Drake University to compete in the 103rd running of the Drake Relays April 25-28, while others will travel to Indianola, Iowa to take part in the Kip Janvrin Invitational on April 26 and 27.

Last Time Out: Drake had a successful evening at the Musco Twilight on Saturday, April 21.
Junior Marissa Smith (Ajax Ontario) claimed second in the 100-meter hurdles finishing in 14.15.
Sophomore Whitney Westrum (Waukee, Iowa) claimed fourth in the 200-meter dash in 24.76 and also fourth in the 400-meter dash in 56.76.
Freshman Melissa Parks (Norfolk, Neb.) won the 1500-meter race in 4:40.72, after one heat of the event was not recorded due to technical difficulties at the Francis X. Cretzmeyer Track. In the heat that was not recorded, junior Kirsten Lake (Parker, Colo.) won the heat with a personal best and would have captured the event crown.
Curtis snared seventh place in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.55, while junior Briana Isom-Brummer (St. Louis, Mo.) was ninth in 1:03.89.
