TALLAHASSEE, FL (Aug. 7) The FAMU department of athletics announced it's football and volleyball broadcast schedule for Rattler Vision today. Four football games and four volleyball matches are slated for broadcast to start the 2012-2013 season. Prices for packages will remain consistent with last season's rates.

A full year's worth of games is sitll the absolute best value at $59. This entitles Rattler fans to all broadcasts during the year. This includes football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball, special events and all of the weekly press conferences for football.

For those interested in a particular sport or season, we offer a four month "season" pass for $24.95. One month subscriptions are available at $8.95, while a single event is $7.95. Subscribe now by going to the FAMUAthletics.com homepage and click the orange "sign up now" button.

Vaughn Wilson of FAMU sports information and Angela Suggs of FAMU sports marketing encourage all Rattlers to get on board. "We've made some strides in how we will present our content this season. Last year, we were emersed in the process of initiating pay-per-view and it presented it challenges at the onset. But as we grew, the quality of the broadcasts developed throughout last year," Wilson said.

Suggs underscored the convenience and significance of subscribing to Rattler Vision. "Subscribing to a Rattler Vision package is a great way to supplement your support of FAMU Athletics. Since funds go directly to the athletics department, you can be assured that the department will have access to these funds, thus improving our programs. We encourage our loyal Rattler fans to get a year's subscription, even if you regularly attend games," Suggs said.

FAMU Athletics "went live" with industry giant Neulion on April 1, 2010 for its Website. Since that time, over two million page views and several live broadcasts have been pushed through the portal.

Wilson is confident that Rattler Vision is one of the most visible marketing tools for both the university and the athletics department. "With our international contingent of players, we have seen Rattler Vision broadcasts abroad. Reports show that our athletic events, particularly volleyball, garnered international viewers," Wilson added.

This season's football and volleyball schedules are as follows*:

Football:
Sept.15 vs. Hampton Pirates
Oct.13 vs. Savannah State Tigers
Oct. 20 vs. S.C. State Bulldogs
Nov.10 vs. N.C. Central Eagles

Weekly press conferences are every Tuesday at 12-noon

Volleyball:
Oct.12 vs. B-CU Wildcats
Oct. 23 vs. Troy Trojans
Nov.4 vs. N.C. Central Eagles
Nov. 21 vs. Jacksonville Dolphins

*Times for these broadcasts are on the website and are subject to change. The broadcast schedule does not take into effect the possibility that ESPNU, our MEAC sponsorship partner, may broadcast some games. In that event, the particular event will not be broadcast on Rattler Vision.
