FAMU Football Finishes 8th in NCAA Attendance

TALLAHASSEE,Fla (Dec.15) - Florida A&M faithful can be proud of their support of FAMU Athletics this past season. According to NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), formerly Division I-AA, the Rattlers drew the eighth highest home attendance in the division. It outpaced South Carolina State Unversity, who finished 14th in the poll, to garner top MEAC honors.

The Rattlers took in 102,000 fans this season in four home games. The average of 18,746 represented 73.51% of actual capacity.

Jackson State University was the only HBCU to top FAMU's attendance. The Tigers had six home games, where they averaged 23,730 fans.

S.C. State had five home games, where they averaged 16,460 fans. Their total represented operation at 74.82 % of capacity.
