The William and Mary women's golf team finished up the Hoya Invitational Tuesday evening in 10th place, lopping 12 strokes off its team score in the final round to shoot 321.  Old Dominion took the team title in the 11-team event, shooting 944 (+80) overall, and the Monarch's Elizabeth Hayock was the individual medalist at 223 (+7).

Leading the way once again for the Tribe was senior Caroline Sweet (Bowie, Md.), who improved 12 strokes by herself in the third round to shoot 75 (+3) on Tuesday and improve to a tie for 24th.  Classmate Kristen Hamel (Chesterfield, Mo.) improved a stroke herself overnight to shoot 79 in the third and final round, and finished the tournament in 29th place.  Freshman Kelly Okun (Palm Beach, Fla.) finished one stroke behind Hamel in a tie for 30th, and classmate Kellie Edelblut (New Hope, Pa.) stood 44th overall after improving four strokes to an 82.  Junior Katy Hutcherson (Greeneville, Tenn.) rounded out the team effort in a tie for 60th overall.

With the regular season complete, W&M has two weeks to prepare of the Colonial Athletic Association Championships.  The conference tournament will be held April 20-22 this year, at the St. James Plantation Golf Course in Southport, North Carolina.
