Primeau And Parker Named To The 2012 IWLCA All-Northeast Region Second Team

Grand Lake, Colo- UAlbany women's lacrosse Jenn Primeau and  Ariana Parker were named to the 2012 Intercollegiate Women's  Women's Coaches Association All-Northeast Region Second Team. The Great Danes led the America East Conference with two selections in the All-Northeast Region, as Boston University, New Hampshire and Vermont each had one. Stony Brook tallied the most selections overall with three in the All-Mid Atlantic Region. 

Primeau, a senior defender, was named to the 2012 America East Conference All-Conference First Team earlier this season. She tallied over 25 ground balls, 25 draw controls and nine caused turnovers. In the NCAA First Round matchup against Florida, the Niskayuna, N.Y. native tallied three ground balls and helped the Great Dane defense cause four turnovers.

Parker, a sophomore attack, led the Great Danes' offense in scoring with 39 goals and was tied for second in assists with 15. She had the team's best free-position goal percentage of 36.8 (7-for-19) and recorded 27 ground balls. In the America East Conference Semifinal game against Boston U., the Port Ewen, N.Y. native had a career-best five assists and tied a career-high seven points.
