NEW YORK - The Columbia men's squash team will face two top 10 Ivy League opponents this weekend in Street Squash. On Friday, Feb. 3 Columbia will face fourth-ranked Harvard for the first time in program history at 7:30 p.m. The Lions will follow with another first on Sunday, Feb. 5 as they face #7 Dartmouth at noon.
Last Time Out
Columbia currently stands at 5-6 after finishing 2-2 in four home matches. The Lions opened the first match of the weekend defeating Georgetown 8-1 on Friday, Jan. 27 in Street Squash. Columbia followed with another win on Saturday, Jan. 28 defeating #21 Connecticut College 6-3.
The last two matches of the weekend resulted in losses for the Lions. 13th-ranked Middlebury handed Columbia a 1-8 loss on Saturday, Jan. 28 and #10 Williams followed with a 1-8 defeat on Sunday, Jan. 29.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
The 11-2 fourth-ranked Harvard will enter their match with Columbia following a 7-2 win over fifth-ranked Rochester. The Crimson at 2-1 in Ivy League play currently stands third in conference.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth stands at 6-4 on the season and 1-2 in the Ivy League coming off back to back to losses. The Big Green will look to bounce back this weekend taking on two Ivy League opponents after suffering defeats from Trinity and Rochester.
The Lions will travel to Ivy-League Penn on Friday, Feb. 10 facing the Quakers at 4:00 p.m.
