Menís Tennis Defeats Detroit 6-1
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team had a 6-1 victory over Detroit Saturday at the Muncie YMCA. The Cardinals current season record is 4-2.
Ball State swept in doubles play. The duo of Dalton Albertin and Leonard won against Detroit’s Chris Cheung and Mike Basha, 8-2, in the No. 1 spot.
The Cardinals only had one loss in singles play when Zane Smith battled Nick Tolomei and loss 4-6, 7-6(8), 10-7. Ray Leonard, Derek Carpenter, Austin Smith and Patrick Elliot all won in straight sets.
The Cardinals host a doubleheader against Illinois State and Anderson Sunday at the Muncie YMCA. The first match will begin at 1 p.m. and the second will begin at 6 p.m.
