Continues to make a run for the A&T career digs record with 849 in two seasons … Was a 2013 member of the MEAC All-Academic team … Helped the Aggies reach the 2013 MEAC tournament for the first time since 2007 … Was a first-team All-MEAC honoree in 2012 … She brings a wealth of experience and energy to the A&T volleyball defense…Outstanding defender who has a tremendous knowledge of the game…Will help anchor the Aggies serve receive again this season.

2013 Season: Played in all 31 matches and 104 sets as the starting libero …  Led the Aggies with 388 digs, averaging 3.73 per set which was fifth in the MEAC … Totaled 54 assists, eight service aces and five kills … Recorded 19 matches in double-figure digs and led A&T in digs in 18 matches .. Posted 15 matches with 12 or more digs … Enjoyed a 10-match streak in double figures in digs starting on Sept. 13 at UNC Wilmington and lasting until Sept. 27 against N.C. Central … During the streak she tabbed a season-high 23 digs against Murray State on Sept. 21 … Finished with 22 digs against Western Carolina on Sept. 14 … Recorded four assists in three matches, once against Davidson on Sept. 21, again on Oct. 11 versus S.C. State and against Gardner-Webb on Oct. 15 … Matched her career-high with two service aces against Murray State on Sept. 21 … Helped A&T to its most wins in a season since the 2008 season.

2012 Season:  Played in and started all 32 matches and 118 sets as the starting libero…Earned first-team All-MEAC honors, becoming the first A&T player to be named to the conference first team since 2007…Recorded 461 digs with 18 service aces, 47 assists and five kills…Ended the year with 23.0 points…At the end of the regular season, led the MEAC with 461 digs…Ranked fifth in the MEAC and 206th in the nation with 3.91 digs per set…Averaged 4.0 digs per set in conference play only…Her 461 digs is the fourth-best single-season total in program history, and makes her just the fourth Aggie volleyball player to record 400 or more in a season…Led the team with a .853 reception percentage…Posted 29 digs on Aug. 31 against Chicago State…Ended the Coppin State Invitational with 61 digs for an average of 3.81 per set.  …Finished the Winthrop Classic Tournament with 61 digs, including 29 against Mercer on Sept. 15…Set a new season-high with 30 digs against N.C. Central on Sept. 28…Had 25 digs in back-to-back matches on Oct. 17 against Norfolk State and on Oct. 23 at The Citadel…Posted double-figure digs over the last seven matches of the season…Posted double-figure dig matches 22 times…Led the team in digs 23 times…Led the team in service aces in five matches. 

High School: Played two varsity seasons at Moanalua...Competed with Debby Yee's Jammers Volleyball Club...Helped the Jammers win the 2012 Women's Division A Championship, while earning All-Star Player recognition...Won the 2011 Aloha Region championship as a Jammer, and earned bronze in the Junior Nationals a year earlier...In 2007, Johnson and the Jammers were second place in the North Pacific Junior National Qualifier...Also played varsity basketball.... Was a member of the National Honor Society of High School Scholars, and she graduated cum laude.

Personal: Full name is Ashley Petrice Johnson...She is the daughter of James and Shelia Furmage and Michael Johnson...Has five siblings, Mikela Thoemmes, Michael Johnson Jr., Ethan Furmage, Cameron and Trinity Furmage...Was born on May 15, 1994…Majors in nursing/psychology...Looks forward to a career in nursing.
