The South Dakota State women's cross country team finished in 16th place, while the men finished in 17th at the NCAA Midwest Cross Country Regional in DeKalb, Ill.
In the women's 6k run, 189 total runners competed with 28 teams being factored into the standings.
On the women's side, the Jacks were led by senior Danielle Burke, who finished in 45th place with a time of 22 minutes and 19.76 seconds.
Erin Hargens finished in 69th place with a time of 22:41.33. Laura Wolles finished in 118th place with a time of 23:17.46. Tera Potts finished four places and four seconds later, while Danielle McCann closed out the scoring in 127th place with a time of 23:26.85.
In the men's 10k run, 171 total runners competed with 25 teams being factored into the standings.
On the men's side, senior Greg Vollmer led the Jacks with a time of 32 minutes and 53.31 seconds, good for 61st place.
Trent Lusignan finished 12 seconds after Vollmer in 67th place. Kyle Schmidt finished in 85th place with a time of 33:39.68. Jared Ailts finished in 92nd place with a time of 33:49.40, while Drew Kraft closed out the scoring in 144th place with a time of 35:09.76.
