Aaron (last name is pronounced clot) will again provide depth to the Jackrabbit pitching staff ... Summit League Distinguished Scholar who also has named to Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence each of the past two seasons

All four of his pitching appearances came out of the bullpen ... retired two of the three batters he faced in season-opening performance at Alabama A&M (2/23) ... struck out season-high three batters in two scoreless innings versus Georgetown (3/11) ... recorded one strikeout in home outings against Minnesota (4/9) and Dakota State (4/23)

Pitched in eight games — all in relief ... did not give up an earned run in first four appearances of the season, starting with scoreless frame that included a strikeout against Ohio State (2/23) ... picked up first 
collegiate victory after striking out three batters in 1 2/3 innings of one-run baseball in second game of doubleheader against Dakota State (4/24) ... longest outing of the season was a two-inning stint at Creighton (Neb.) (5/8) ... made lone appearance of Summit League season in final series at Omaha (5/17)

Made six appearances with one start ... did not factor into any decisions ... averaged more than a strikeout per inning and held opponents to .263 batting average ... did not allow a run in first four appearances, covering 4 1/3 innings ... pitched scoreless inning of 
relief in collegiate debut, at Arkansas State (3/4) ...allowed one run and struck out two in two innings as he made first career start, versus Sioux Falls (4/24) ... pitched  three strong innings, striking out career-best six batters, in relief stint against Western Illinois (5/18)

Earned all-section and all-conference honors twice at Albert Lea High School ... honored as Dick Seltz Big 9 Conference Player of the Year as a senior .... compiled a 15-7 career record on the mound under coach Joe Sczublewski with a 2.34 earned run average ... struck out 134 batters in 134 1/3 career innings and held opponents to .235 batting average ... also led team in hitting ... two-time Albert Lea Tribune Co-Player of the Year ... all-state honoree who was 
selected to play in the Minnesota Lions All-Star Game ... also competed in basketball and football .... academic all-state selection and member of the National Honor Society ... parents both graduated from SDSU
