NDSU's Anderson Named to All-Summit League Women's Golf First Team
Release: April 22, 2012
PRIMM, Nev. - North Dakota State's Amy Anderson was named to the All-Summit League women's golf first team Sunday, April 22, at the league championship banquet. The awards were based on the Golfstat rankings entering the championship.
Anderson, a junior from Oxbow, N.D., made the all-league first team for the third straight year. She has been the league's Golfer of the Year the past two seasons and is the defending league champion after a runner-up finish in 2010.
Anderson leads The Summit League by almost three full strokes with a 73.05 average through 22 rounds. She has won four events, including a first-place finish at Creighton last week.
The Summit League championship begins with 36 holes Monday, April 23, and finishes with 18 holes Tuesday, April 24. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. PT both days at the Primm Valley Golf Club.
The women's championship will be played on the Primm Valley Lakes Course, where Anderson shot a school-record and league-leading 66 during the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational in March.
